Saltburn Railway Station

The Saltburn Railway Station was opened on 17th August 1861 by the Stockton and Darlington Railway allowing trains to travel to Redcar.

This was then extended 11 years later by extending the line to Brotton amongst other locations.

Since then, the Railway Station was reduced from 4 platforms to 2 and went under modernisation in 1974.

Today regular train services for Northern Railway and TransPennine Express are seen, allowing passengers the chance to go to Whitby, Newcastle, York, Leeds and Manchester.

If you are interested in trains, then why not check out the Saltburn Minature Railway which is located near Saltburn Beach & Pier.
