Where is Saltburn?

Saltburn-By-The-Sea is a seaside town in Redcar and Cleveland, North Yorkshire – most commonly know as Saltburn. It is located in the the North-East of the United Kingdom on the North Sea coast.

What is Saltburn Known For?

Saltburn is deep in history, dating back to the Victorian times, and proudly attracts individuals to it’s pier, beach, valley gardens and not forgetting the cliff lift, which links the town to the beach.

It doesn’t stop there, it also has a miniature railway, which is located close to Valley Woods. Saltburn also offers the local community and tourists some wonderful independent cafes, pubs and restaurants in and around the town.

Saltburn and the local community were built on the discovery of ironstone that was found in the nearby Cleveland hills.

Is Saltburn A Nice Place To Live?

In the latest government census, Saltburn by the sea reported a population of 5,874. It has also recently been featured in The Times newspaper as one of the nicest places to live. The Times article specifically went on to mention some of the town’s finest features, including the historical pier.
