Where is Saltburn?
Saltburn By The Sea is a seaside town in Redcar and Cleveland, North Yorkshire – most commonly know as Saltburn.
It is located in the North-East of the United Kingdom on the North Sea coast.
What is Saltburn Known For?
Saltburn has a rich history dating back to Victorian times, and it continues to draw visitors to its iconic pier, beach, and Valley Gardens—not to mention the famous cliff lift, which connects the town to the beach.
Saltburn also features the popular miniature railway located near Valley Woods. Saltburn-by-the-Sea boasts a vibrant selection of independent cafes, pubs and restaurants, offering something special for both locals and tourists.
Saltburn and its community were shaped by the discovery of ironstone in the nearby Cleveland Hills, which played a pivotal role in the town’s development.
