For the first time in 160 years, Saltburn Methodist Church is now on the market with Lambert Smith Hampton.
Saltburn Methodist Church is currently being used as a community hub, that according to a local spokesperson said:
“Saltburn Methodist Church said is continuing to discern its future direction. To this end the managing trustees of the church are looking to market all or part of its premises for sale or lease.
“We want to reassure the people of Saltburn that the managing trustees are committed to maintaining a Methodist presence in the town.”
Whilst a spokesperson from Lambert Smith Hampton said:
“The church is still in daily use, however the congregation is looking to downsize and needs something smaller. It’s essentially two churches, there could be commercial uses or planners would be happy to see a residential conversion
We’ve had enquiries from artists and other people who want to use the building, or part of it. There is a range of potential commercial uses.
“If the church sells or lets half the property, it will stay in the other half. If it’s the whole property, the church would decamp to a new building.”
