Saltburn Big Band’s debut concert will take place at the Community Theatre in Saltburn on Sunday, 3rd of September commencing at 7.30 PM.
The new band has been rehearsing since May in Saltburn and the concert is a fundraising event aimed at giving all proceeds to the Community Theatre as a thank you for allowing them to use the venue for rehearsals.
A founder band member Dave Archbold said
“The band has attracted a number of very high calibre local musicians and this has enabled the band to hit the ground running and prepare a very entertaining concert within a short period of time”.
Those attending can expect a very exciting programme featuring performances of some well known Big Band arrangements as well as some numbers that they may well have not come across for a number of years.Fellow founder band member Adrian Beadnell said “Our Musical Director, Kevin Eland, has chosen both an entertaining but musically demanding programme that should appeal to both Big Band enthusiasts and those new to this genre of musical performance”.
